In March 2002, during the last tours made by Willy Garcia and Javier Vasquez each with extensive experience in clustering Jairo Varela (García Vásquez eight years and fifteen years), between conversations in hotels, airplanes and airports, had the idea to stop his own orchestra.

The song "So Good" by Javier Vasquez, quickly achieved first places in the United States, reaching important positions in the lists of Billboard magazine. Meanwhile in Colombia, two issues became the successes of the first production of Caliban: "And then," the voice of Willy Garcia and "So Good" by Javier Vasquez remained until December with excellent rotation.
